Village of Oswego approves new ordinance seeking to prevent vehicle-into-building crashes in honor of 2-year-old killed in Portillo’s crash

OSWEGO, Ill. (WGN) — The Village of Oswego has approved a new ordinance that seeks to prevent vehicle-into-building crashes following a crash that unfolded at a Portillo’s restaurant in July, which claimed the life of a 2-year-old boy and injured several others.

The village announced Tuesday that it has approved Finnegan’s Law, an ordinance designed to help prevent cars from crashing into buildings, in honor of 2-year-old Finnegan Trooper McKee, who was killed in the July crash.
