CHICAGO — A man is in custody this week after authorities say he allegedly held up a Frankfort gas station at knifepoint over the weekend.
According to Will County Deputies, the incident unfolded just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, at a Circle K located in the 7600 block of West Lincoln Highway in Frankfort.

Deputies were first called to the scene following a report that a masked man had entered the gas station and demanded money from the cash register while brandishing a knife and claiming he was armed with a gun.
Deputies said the employee complied and gave the suspect money, shortly before the alleged thief fled on foot, running eastbound from the gas station.
