CHICAGO — A man has been charged with stealing more than $1,200 worth of merchandise from the Macy’s on State Street.
Jeffery Lowery, 33, of Chicago, has been charged with felony theft and a misdemeanor count of resisting a police officer.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to the department store, located at 111 North State Street, on reports of a retail theft.
Officers said a man was captured on security footage taking jewelry, multiple gift sets, a comforter, as well as a can of beer from a cooler — and then tried to leave the store…
