Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant was a guest on WJOL’s “Slocum in the Morning” today. She discussed the first board meeting of 2026. She said that one important issue discussed was that the Southeast Joliet Sanitary District will no longer exist. Instead, the work will be taken over by Joliet on February 1. The sanitary district work to protect public health through water quality.
The Southeast Joliet Sanitary District was installed in 1950. Bertino-Tarrant says with out upgrades, systems fail.
