ORLAND PARK, Ill. — A Cook County judge has denied a motion by former Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau to dissolve a temporary restraining order against him, allowing a lawsuit filed by the village against Pekau to proceed.
The village announced in a news release that Cook County Circuit Court Judge Kate Moreland denied Pekau’s motion Tuesday to dissolve the TRO, which was issued by Moreland because of a lawsuit over actions taken by Pekau last year.

Pekau lost his bid for a third term as mayor of Orland Park to longtime Village Trustee Jim Dodge in last April’s election.
The village says it filed an emergency lawsuit against Pekau after he “published blog and social media posts disclosing sensitive internal documents, details related to ongoing litigation and litigation strategy involving the village, and non-public information related to village employees.”…
