A popular fried chicken chain from the East Coast has arrived in Illinois as Zaxby’s opened its first Illinois location last week in the Chicago suburb of Plainfield. The new store promises a taste of southern hospitality to Midwest diners.
Per WGN, the restaurant opened its doors on Monday, Jan. 19, at 13429 Illinois Rte 59. The 2,450-square-foot eatery replaces the former Slim Chickens site. Remodeling wrapped up just in time for the launch, said village officials.
