PALATINE, Ill. (WGN) – A man was arrested Tuesday morning after they allegedly approached and grabbed a minor in Palatine on Monday morning.
The Palatine Police Department said at around 7 a.m. Monday, police officers were sent to the area of the 200 block of West Wood Street to investigate reports that a suspect approached and grabbed a young girl. The girl suffered minor injuries and had her cellphone taken.
After the incident, detectives reviewed evidence and surveillance footage as part of the investigation and began searching for a suspect, who they described as a man in his 20s with a stubble beard, according to investigators.

Police said at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police took a “person of interest” into custody in connection with the incident. The person of interest, identified as 26-year-old Kearve Williams, was taken into custody after they tried to run from officers.
Williams has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and resisting arrest. Addition charged will be sought pending further review and an indictment, according to investigators…
