Police make arrest after high-speed chase

Hinsdale police arrested a Chicago man this week following a chase that reached 73 miles an hour on local streets, with the help of neighboring departments.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced Tuesday that Claude Miles, 28, of the 5400 block of North Kenmore Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding and one felony count of possession of burglary tools.

The incident began at about 2 a.m. Tuesday when a Hinsdale police officer observed a 2013 Ford Fiesta driving with no rear license plate near Ogden Avenue and Pasquinelli Drive. The officer activated his lights, at which point the vehicle allegedly fled at a high speed. The officer deactivated his lights and siren but continued to follow the vehicle through Downers Grove into Oak Brook, where Oak Brook police began pursuit near 31st Street…
