Lewisburg, Pa. — An intoxicated 19-year-old man from Illinois allegedly assaulted public safety officers at Bucknell University after they tried to remove from from a dormitory.
Liam David Rooney, of Western Springs, received felony aggravated assault charges for the dust-up on Feb. 14. Sergeant Steve Persing of Bucknell University police says police were called to Smith Hall for a report of an intoxicated student.
The residential advisor told Persing and another office that the suspect, later identified as Rooney, tried to enter a female student’s room but the door was locked. Rooney then fled and was found in a third-floor bathroom, according to the affidavit…
