No one was hurt in a small plane crash at the Aurora Municipal Airport in Sugar Grove Monday afternoon.
The Sugar Grove Police Department says a 30-year-old student pilot from Bolingbrook was practicing takeoffs and landings at the airport at the time. The pilot reported that on one approach, the plane bounced and dipped during landing.
The crash damaged the plane’s front landing gear and propeller. The pilot was evaluated and released at the scene. Authorities say the student was in radio communication with his instructor, who was on the ground during the incident…
