Around 8:05 Thursday evening, the Romeoville Police Department responded to the area of Independence Boulevard (Route 53) and Alexander Circle for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. A black Lexus, traveling south on Independence Boulevard, struck a female pedestrian who was crossing in the lane of traffic. The pedestrian was then struck a second time by a southbound Toyota SUV. The vehicles remained at the scene.
