Yorkville woman charged in deadly pedestrian crash from last year

The Yorkville Police Department is charging a 74-year-old woman in an October crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian.

Edith Graff of Yorkville is charged with aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death, reckless driving, and reckless conduct. Police allege that on October 4 last year, Graff crossed the fog line and hit a pedestrian in the area of Route 71 and Walsh Drive. Police further allege that Graff was using a cell phone at the time and that toxicology reports found alcohol in her system.

The crash happened at around 4:28 p.m. Graff turned herself in at the Kendall County Jail on Friday and was released on Saturday…
