MOKENA, Ill. β Authorities say the remains of a man who went missing in mid 2025 were located in a field in the southwest suburbs this week.
According to officials from the Will County Sheriffβs Office, the investigation began around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday after land surveyors, who were working in a field near Oakwood Drive and Townline Road in Mokena, discovered what appeared to be a human skull.
Deputies were called to the scene and conducted a search of the field, during which they uncovered additional bones scattered throughout.
