Plainfield girl learning to use ‘robot arm’ thanks to local library

A little girl has what she calls a “robot arm,” thanks to 3D printing at the Plainfield Area Public Library.

Four-year-old Brooklynn Pelletier even got to pick her favorite colors, according to her mother, Krystal. She tells WSPY that Brooklynn was born with a limb difference.

“Ever since about a year ago, she was really interested in what she calls a robot arm,” said Pelletier. “Prosthetics are super expensive, so I was doing some research and I came across an open source design that makes prosthetics. And it’s really cool because it’s from Team UnLimbited in the UK, and it’s free.”…
