I saw Grocery Dive mention that Trader Joe’s had just announced new locations and 1930 US-34 in Oswego, Illinois is one of them. I checked the official Trader Joe’s site and it confirms that this new store is “coming soon”.
How many Illinois locations does Trader Joe’s have?
According to the official site, Trader Joe’s currently has stores in 18 Illinois cities. According to Scrape Hero, there are 22 Illinois stores that are open right now meaning the Oswego store will make 23 once it’s open. It looks like this new Illinois location will be open sometime in 2026. While I can’t locate an exact opening date as of the time of this writing, I’ve seen reports that it might be ready for business by this coming Fall.
