CRETE, Ill. (WGN) — The woman charged in connection with the death of three people in Crete Township last month will remain behind bars until trial, a judge in Will County declared on Monday.
It was around 2 a.m. Monday, March 23, that Will County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a welfare check at a home in the 3400 block of Norway Trail. Deputies found the slain bodies of three people—Jacob Lambert, 32, Stacy Forde, 54 and Patrick Forde, 55—in what authorities deemed an incident appearing to be domestic in nature.

Jenna Strouble faces nine counts of felony first-degree murder. She is accused of killing the father of her children and his parents. Authorities said Strouble had an on-again-off-again relationship with Lambert. Strouble and Lambert had children together: a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old, who authorities say were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
Prosecutors added that Strouble drove from Indiana to commit the killings. Law enforcement officials later arrested the 30-year-old at her home in St John, Indiana. It is further alleged that Strouble made incriminating statements to deputies.
