The Kane County Coroner’s Office has identified a 29-year-old man found dead in an apartment Saturday as Darioun C. Smith. The coroner’s office says initial autopsy results indicate he died of a gunshot wound.
Police were called to the 1100 block of East Wilson Street early Saturday morning, where they found a 27-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital. Shortly afterward, police located Smith deceased inside an apartment.
