At 1:00 Sunday morning, the Lockport Township Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of Mountain Laurel Court in the Village of Romeoville.
On arrival, firefighters say moke coming from the second floor of a single family home, and a small fire was located in a bedroom on the second floor.
The occupants were not home at the time of the incident.
Crews made a quick attack and were able to extinguish the fire. The damage from the fire was primarily contained to the room of origin. No injuries were reported during this incident. The incident was elevated to the general alarm level, which brought in assistance from Plainfield,…
