A suburban school was evacuated and major roadways closed due to “emergency activity” Thursday afternoon, police said.
Addison police and fire departments were actively investigating in the area of Lombard Road between Army Trail Road and Driscoll Lane. The roadways were blocked off due to the response, police said.
As part of the investigation, Stone Elementary School students and staff were evacuated “safely,” officials said, calling the move a “precautionary measure.”…
