Tim and Cyndee Hill have sold the rights to the Roar Offshore Fort Myers Beach Power Boat Races to Shaun Torrente Racing and offshore racer Cole Leibel.
As you all know the races have not been held since before Hurricane Ian. Beach Talk Radio spoke to the General Manager of Shaun Torrente Racing this week. He said the goal is to return the races to Fort Myers Beach as soon as possible, even in 2026 if they can make that happen.
Roar Offshore served as the APBA Offshore National Championship. It included a popular parade on Fort Myers Beach and drew tens of thousands of people to the island.
“This has been a very special event for Cyndee and me,” said Tim Hill, co-founder of Roar Offshore. “Roar Offshore was built through years of hard work, relationships, community support, and a shared passion for offshore racing. With the growth of AME Automotive, extensive work travel, and our continued involvement with Fort Myers Offshore, we simply do not have the time required to give Roar Offshore the attention it deserves. Shaun Torrente and Cole Leibel are the right people to carry this forward.”…
