Fort Myers Beach is ready to make waves once again. This September, one of Southwest Florida’s most anticipated sporting events returns as ROAR Offshore brings the 2026 Fort Myers Beach Offshore Powerboat Race back to the island Sept. 11–13, 2026, for a three-day celebration of speed, community, and American resilience. More than a race weekend, the event celebrates the rebirth of Fort Myers Beach following Hurricane Ian while serving as part of America’s 250th Anniversary celebration—a tribute to the determination, ingenuity, and enduring spirit of Southwest Florida.
The three-day event is expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators to Fort Myers Beach while generating extensive regional, national, and international media exposure through television, live-stream broadcasts, digital marketing, radio, print, social media, and multi-channel advertising campaigns. The weekend is expected to provide a significant economic boost for local businesses while showcasing Fort Myers Beach as one of Florida’s premier waterfront destinations.
“ROAR Offshore is much more than a race weekend,” said Jacki Liszak, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce. “It is a celebration of our community’s remarkable comeback and an opportunity to showcase everything that makes Fort Myers Beach such a special destination. Visitors from across the country will experience our beautiful beaches, outstanding restaurants, unique businesses, world-class hospitality, and the resilience that defines our island.”…
