David and Jerri Hoffmann, along with the Hoffmann Family, have established the Hoffmann Family Female Student Athlete of the Year Award. In its inaugural year, the award has been presented to Te’Anna Mata, a rising tennis standout from Naples, Florida, and a recent graduate of Naples High School, where she competed at the No. 1 singles position.
As a sophomore, Mata posted a 4-2 record at No. 1 singles, with both losses coming in closely contested tiebreak matches against elite opponents. She was named to the Naples Daily News All-Area Girls Tennis First Team and has compiled an impressive 28-17 record in high school and junior competition. In 2026, she advanced to the Round of 16 at the prestigious Battle of Boca tournament and earned a national ranking on the junior tennis circuit.
