We are encouraged that the Naples City Council voted 4-1 on January 18 in favor of approving the zoning change crucial to the realization of NCH’s new heart, vascular and stroke center. This decisive step brings us one significant stride closer to breaking ground on a facility that promises to redefine health care in our community.
I’d like to thank the mayor and the City Council for their support and vote of confidence for this project during the first reading. The resounding support from our community is a testament to the shared vision we have for a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance the well-being of our patients and will help us bring more advanced critical care to the heart of Naples. Your engagement has played a pivotal role in reaching this milestone, and for that, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our neighbors and residents in this gracious community.
While we celebrate this achievement, our journey is not complete.
We now turn our attention to the next essential juncture in this process — the upcoming City Council meeting on February 7. At this meeting, the design plans for our new center will be put to a vote. Your voices matter, and your support has already made a significant impact. Let’s rally together once more to ensure that the groundbreaking for this vital health care facility becomes a reality. You can help by writing our elected city officials, thanking them for their support and encouraging them to provide final approvals so we can move forward with this lifesaving project.
