Fort Myers Beach Town residents can apply for the LeeCares Hurricane Ian Housing Recovery Program on February 16 and 23, 2024. The program will take place at the Town Hall Trailer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its goal is to help those with hurricane damage repair or elevate their properties.
LeeCares offers three assistance programs. The first, the Housing Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Elevation program, supports income-eligible property owners with hurricane damage. It helps with property repair, replacement, and elevation.
The second program, the Home Purchase Assistance program, helps income-eligible buyers purchase a primary residence outside the flood zone in Lee County. This program aims to help residents find safer housing away from flood-prone areas.
The third program, the Voluntary Residential Acquisition program, helps income-eligible homeowners relocate from flood-prone areas in Lee County. For more details on eligibility and application documents, residents can visit www.leeflcares.com or contact LeeCares via email or phone.
