Coastal flooding? Tropical wave expected to move into eastern Gulf of Mexico later this week

A tropical wave that’s expected to grow into a hurricane later this week is making its way across the Yucatan peninsula and will soon emerge in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center issued the first advisories for the storm at 11 a.m. Monday, noting that the storm is expected to eventually make landfall between Pensacola and Tampa Bay.
