Naples Municipal Airport (APF) is far more than a transportation hub; it is a vital economic engine, a lifeline for critical services, and a forward-thinking steward of environmental sustainability. Unfortunately, there has been some recent coverage that seems to downplay the indispensable role that Naples Airport has in contributing to the incredibly high quality of life for all of us in Naples and throughout Collier County.
APF contributes more than $780 million annually to the local economy, directly supporting over 5,000 jobs and fostering countless more through indirect impact. The airport’s 300 active leases are the backbone of a thriving local business ecosystem. Tourists arriving via APF infuse millions into our economy, bolstering local restaurants, hotels, and shops — key elements of Naples’ high quality of life. Losing this economic pillar would irreparably harm our community.
APF serves as a platform for lifesaving medical flights, mosquito control operations and disaster relief efforts. These essential services ensure the safety and well-being of every Naples resident. During emergencies, such as hurricanes, the airport provides critical logistical support, underscoring its value as an irreplaceable asset.
