A 31-year-old Naples man was killed in a crash off Interstate 75 in Collier County on Sunday afternoon.
The man was driving a van south on I-75, near the 110 mile marker, when his left rear tire blew, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.
He lost control of the van and entered the grassy median. He then hit a cable barrier and the van overturned, the report said. The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. It was near a September crash on I-75 that killed four people when a car’s driver lost control and hit a tree.
