EAST NAPLES, Florida — A Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a confrontation with aggressive dogs while responding to an animal complaint on Pearl Harbor Drive. The incident resulted in the deputy discharging his weapon, leading to the death of one dog.The CCSO Communications Center received eight separate 9-1-1 calls from residents reporting four loose German Shepherds in the neighborhood, described as aggressive and chasing people. One caller noted the dogs were attempting to attack children.
