Nearly a year ago, Collier County commissioners agreed to proceed with the purchase of almost 2,250 acres near Lake Trafford in Immokalee.
After convincing the sellers to lower their asking price, commissioners unanimously voted to purchase the land for $20.77 million last May.
The deal hasn’t closed yet ― and it’s come close to falling apart a few times…
