Rock pioneer Nancy Wilson talks Heart, sister Ann, Beatles, before Florida concerts

The 9-year-old girl settled into her family’s suburban Seattle living room Feb. 9, 1964, the night so many rock stars were born.

Like millions of others, Nancy Wilson couldn’t wait to watch “The Ed Sullivan Show” and see The Beatles make their American TV debut.

“I just realized how lucky I was at age 9 to see the Beatles in ’64 and go like, ‘I need a guitar, I need to be in a band. I don’t want to marry these guys I wanted to be them.’ ”

Heart tour reaches Florida

Wilson, her sister Ann and other members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band come to Florida for four shows this month: June 24 in at St. Augustine Amphitheatre; June 25 at Hertz Arena in Estero; June 27 at the Kia Center in Orlando; and June 28 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood…
