Though the summer months are quiet on Marco Island, dedicated volunteers participated July 5 in the summer quarterly Tigertail Beach cleanup held by Friends of Tigertail.
Sprucing up the area after the July 4 holiday, volunteers collected 20 pounds of trash, three pounds of recyclables, 26 pounds of construction materials and an old tire from the beach and parking.
