Collier County could purchase nearly 53 acres of waterfront property in Everglades City.
The property sits next to the county-owned Everglades Airpark. Known as The Everglades Outpost Property, the site has been on the market for a “millennia,” Collier Commissioner Bill McDaniel said, during a recent board meeting.
The owners, he said, rejected a “letter of intent offer” the county made “six or eight months ago,” but they recently came back with “another non-binding offer to us.”…
