From Aug. 1-3, customers can donate $5 or more in exchange for a specially marked 5-gallon Ace Hardware bucket to use as a shopping basket, earning a 20% discount on nearly everything they can fit inside. In 2024, nearly 900 customers contributed $4,442 during the campaign to support pediatric health care in the region.
“One of our core values is ‘Care for Your Neighbor,’ and there are very few causes more worthy than supporting sick or injured children right here in our community,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “Children’s Miracle Network helps patients get health care they might otherwise struggle to access, and that’s only possible because we have so many generous people in Southwest Florida.”
Donations made at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties support Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers. Donations at Sunshine Ace Hardware in Pinellas County and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County support Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
