Johnnie Reid, a 62-year-old African American sprinter from Naples, Florida, has set a newnationalrecord at the National Senior Games in the 60–64 agegroup, completing the 100 meters in just 13.6 seconds.
Reid, who works at the State Attorney’s Office in Naples, is no stranger to breaking records. In 2023, she clocked 50 meters in 7.36 seconds, a record she surpassed last week in Iowa with a new time of 7.23 seconds.
