Film fans, including here on Marco Island, are being given the power to choose the next Oscar contender.
The 28th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival, running globally from Sept. 25 until Oct. 5, including the Marco Island Center for the Arts, gives audiences the chance to view and vote on the best in international short filmmaking, with the winning film earning automatic qualification for the Academy Awards.
