The Town of Fort Myers Beach is pulling out all the stops to try to save the Beach School from being demolished. Town Manager Will McKannay has sent a letter to the Lee County School Board and copied a long list of high ranking officials.
Fort Myers Beach officials were caught off guard when the School District added an agenda item to start the demolition of the historic beach school Tuesday morning for a 6PM School Board meeting. The resolution was approved in the board’s consent agenda.
