STARability Foundation celebrates groundbreaking on new campus

NAPLES, Fla. — The STARability Foundation has celebrated the groundbreaking of a new campus in Naples, unveiling the Golisano Program Center. Right now, STARability serves more than 370 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities each year, with an average of 75 participants attending daily programs.

“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, community leaders, board and committee members, STARability’s vision of creating a first-of-its-kind campus and a welcoming home for people with IDD and their families is becoming a reality,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation.

“This next chapter would not be possible without the incredible support from Tom Golisano and our entire community. As we advance this work, we are not only building a regional hub that expands services and opportunities for families across Southwest Florida but also shaping a campus that will stand as a national model for what true inclusivity can look like. We are building a brighter future for our STARs to shine.”

Demand continues to outpace available space, with a waiting list that grows each day. The new campus expands services and support to serve 1,000 people every year…
