Cold Case Arrest: Woman Charged in 2012 Murder Following DNA Breakthrough in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, FL – The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Cold Case Homicide Unit announced the arrest of Julie Krinsky, 53, in connection with the 2012 murder of Joseph Godcharles.

Krinsky was taken into custody Thursday morning in Beverly Hills, FL, where she currently resides. She faces charges of second-degree murder with a weapon.

Joseph Godcharles, 48, was found stabbed to death in his Key Royal Villas apartment off Immokalee Road on August 1, 2012. Godcharles had entered his gated community the previous evening, and his son discovered the condo unsecured the next morning. Deputies found Godcharles deceased in the master bedroom with multiple stab wounds. There were no signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe he likely knew his killer…
