St. Matthew’s House recently announce that it has received a $20,000 grant from The Women’s Giving Circle of Southwest Florida, a volunteer organization “dedicated to improving the lives of Southwest Florida women and their families” through giving.
Grant funds will support St. Matthew’s House in providing shelter and support services to the growing number of seniors experiencing homelessness in Southwest Florida.
“St. Matthew’s House is grateful to the Women’s Giving Circle of Southwest Florida for their generous support for our programs that help homeless seniors,” said St. Matthew’s House CEO Ben Bridges. “Many of these individuals are experiencing homelessness for the first time in their lives. Rising inflation, shortage of low-income housing, loss of spouse, and the financial and physical challenges of aging are just some of the factors creating new, life-impacting hardships for seniors in our community.”…
