The Lee County Department of Transportation now says the overnight Big Carlos Pass Bridge closure will take place next week, not this week. The new bridge is on the south end of Fort Myers Beach.
On Monday, January 12th, during the overnight hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the bridge will close intermittently to vehicles to allow crews to set the final bridge beams, completing Span 1 (closest to Estero Island) of the bridge.
