1. ICE SHOOTINGS: Hundreds gather in East Naples to honor victims
In Collier County, supporters gathered by the courthouse steps shortly after 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, while organizers tested the sound and played John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land.”
“All we want is to be safe,” said Bob Shae, of Bonita Springs, as he continued to play a series of chords on his guitar.Attendees brought walkers and beach chairs, as well as posters with messages in support of Pretti: “abolish ICE,” “justice and respect for Alex & Renee” and “they died for U.S.A.”
