The cold weather didn’t stop more than 200 people from attending the 90th birthday party for the Wonder Gardens on Saturday night, Jan. 31. Money raised from 90th Night of Wonder party will go toward building an animal hospital so the animal residents can be treated on site.
People munched on a plethora of hors d’oeuvres donated by local businesses, bid on raffle items and enjoyed walking around the gardens that were lit up with colorful lights as live entertainment provided music. Heat lamps scattered around the gardens and an enclosed tent set up for the event kept people warm during one of the coldest weekends in South Florida that led a frost.
