A Florida man is facing a potential life sentence following his arrest last Monday in connection with the shooting death of his young son last summer. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office concluded an investigation into the July 19, 2025, incident that led to the arrest of 39-year-old Gregory Anthony Zecca.
The charges against Zecca include aggravated manslaughter of a child with a firearm and using a firearm while under the influence. According to investigators, the tragedy unfolded while Zecca and his 13-year-old son were at a friend’s home on Sumter Grove Way to watch a UFC fight.
