Question: When did you realize pizza coverage was something to focus more on for the food and dining beat?
Answer: I wouldn’t say we focus more on pizza coverage overall. But I will say that pizza-centric stories always do quite well numbers-wise. And it didn’t take long for me to realize this at all. One of my first articles as a newly christened food writer was about Uncle Rico’s being named one of the best pizza places in the country by The Washington Post.
