Beachgoers near what remains of the Naples Pier
Workers for Shoreline Foundation, the West Park-based company awarded a $23.5 million contract to rebuild the pier, conducted test pilings that couldn’t be missed from either side of the fenced off construction site at 12th Avenue South.
Beachgoers got to watch as a gigantic crane lifted a piling and deftly drilled it into a site on the beach; a couple more pilings went in about 20 feet in the water from the shoreline…
