VIDEO: Dehydrated hiker rescued from Florida nature preserve

OCHOPEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A hiker was forced to call for help while trekking through Big Cypress National Preserve on Monday.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said that the 58-year-old hiker called 911 after becoming dehydrated.

The 911 call was recorded along with a video documenting the rescue, during which the man states, “So basically, it’s getting dark, and there is no water for 25 miles now.”…
