FORT MYERS, Fla. — Sunday is a Gulf Coast Weather Impact Day due to an isolated severe weather threat this afternoon. Not everyone will see rain today, but those who do see rain could see strong thunderstorms capable of producing gusty winds and even some hail. Heavy rain and lightning are also a concern this afternoon.
The timing of the rain looks to start around midday, but the severe weather risk holds off until around 2 or 3 this afternoon. Coverage lingers just after sunset. Most of the rain should stay inland, but coastal Collier County could get some rain this afternoon.
