Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance Board Member and Director of Education John Finer will discuss “The Path to the Perfect Orchid” during the club’s monthly meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 at the Naples Conference Center, 1455 Pine Ridge Road. He will detail his techniques and successes with creating new hybrid orchids, which include 48 so far.
Finer is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science at The Ohio State University and Courtesy Faculty in the Ecology and Environmental Studies Department at Florida Gulf Coast University. He serves on the Education Committee and Research Committee of the American Orchid Society.
