Today, we step away from the outside garden and adventure inside, where you can find a beautiful plant called the spider plant, also known as Chlorophytum comosum. This humble plant does way more than sitting still and looking pretty, though. The spider plant is one of the easiest ways to purify the air in your home or office and it’s pretty inexpensive.
Spider plants are very efficient at filtering out several toxic gases in the air, one of which is formaldehyde.

It may surprise you, but formaldehyde can be found in many places around your home, like new furniture, wood floors, glue and carpets.
A few other household pollutants are carbon monoxide, xylene and toluene, which can be found in paint, printing ink and furniture with leather, benzene (plastic and dyes).
