Missing South American ‘night walker’ that can turn its feet in the opposite direction and run backward has been found in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – “Yoohoo…did you lose a kinkajou?”

That’s the question of the day at Metro Animal Care and Control. The organization posted on its Instagram story on Wednesday that it has found a kinkajou that it believes to be lost in the Nashville area. The center did not specify where the animal was found.

According to the San Diego Zoo, kinkajous live in tropical rainforests from Brazil to southern Mexico. The animals are often mistaken as primates, but they are in the animal family Procyonidae, which also includes raccoons…
